Will always be in my top 3 favorite places for lunch in central Ohio. Everything is welcoming and warm from the inviting atmosphere, the decor, the cozy seating arrangements, and of course the food. Not only do they have a bakery making delicious fresh bread and pastry’s to be sold at the counter, but also a full kitchen serving hot French breakfast and lunch classics. There is always a wide variety of soup to accompany anything on the hot plates, such as quiches and croques. It can as well be tied together with anything from their full espresso bar, or full bar which offers a great happy hour. Will always be returning to this wonderful place.
I got catering from here for a small event I was hosting. I got the regular sized fruit tarts, mini coconut macaroons, and French and decaf coffee. Everything was beyond delicious, beautifully made, and a huge hit with all of my attendees. Everyone especially loved how colorful and well-made the fruit tarts were. Charlotte helped me greatly in deciding what size of treats I should get and answered all of my questions quickly and kindly. The order was ready for pick up at the time I asked and they included everything needed for the coffees (cups, lids, stir sticks, napkins, cream sugars/sweeteners). The website says to order at least 48 hours before your event but should say closer to a week before (earlier is much better). My event was Friday afternoon and I placed my order the previous Saturday. I highly recommend La Chatelaine's catering for any event where you are looking for something better tasting and more unique than boring donuts or Panera desserts.
So delicious. I went with my teen daughter. We had coffee, fresh squeeze OJ, quiche Lorraine, almond croissant, plain croissant, omelet w. toast and a coconut macaroon. Only complaint is weak wifi, and coffee isn't strong enough.
It was fantastic! Food was amazing and so was service too. They could tell I’ve never been lol so they helped me out. Note that it’s cafeteria style!! Never had that at a cafe before very interesting
Pastries are amazing, and the vibes are really great. I've known about La Chatelien since I was a child and I like to go there by myself to study or read a book while eating deserts for my cheat day once a week so I can reminisce and feel good in a beautiful place. Highly recommend, just don't sit at my favorite table when I'm there please lol.
Always a treat, feels like stepping into another time and place. Wonderful coffee, pastries, meals and atmosphere! I love that they serve heavy cream with the coffee and the chocolate croissants are to die for!

2nd time visit, recognized by the lady in the counter. People working over there always have smile on theirs faces, saw an old couple get warm hugs as greeting. This place is not only done right with food, but service is wonderful. Always are the people who make the differences and bring guests back. Love the food , the atmosphere, the buttery smells in the air, and smiles everywhere (workers and guests). Will try other things on the menu in the future.
